Immunizations

Today was a very hard day!!! More for me than probably Shaydon. Shaydon received his 1st shots. (There was 5 of them) I started to freak out about an hour before his appointment. I didn't know weather or not to give him Tylenol before or after or how much? So I called my sister-in-law Yvonne and she helped to calm me down. This is his pediatrician Dr. Naya Antink. The Nurse who actually gave the shots was so good. She had everything lined up and ready to go so it would take less time. She asked me if I wanted to stay or go, but I wanted to stay and be with him. What is worse? Leaving him by himself or being there with him even though it's hard for me? Anyway, I am sure the bugs bunny band-aid helped. Shaydon quit crying as soon as I picked him up. He was so good and brave. Shaydon was pretty sleepy the rest of the afternoon and was up more often that night, but it was okay I felt so bad for him.

Burley Idaho

We were very lucky to travel to Burley and help my parents with some caterings they had at Al's Pizza. On Monday they had 1. Tuesday 3, Wednesday 2, Thursday 2, Friday 1. Plus, they had their regular customers and a party in the back (ice creamery) on three of the day's. They are just CRAZY busy.

This was the first time we (Shaydon and I) have traveled with out Scott. We were sad to leave him, but called him often. While we were there we had the opportunity to have grandma & grandpa Hunt and Gerratt watch Shaydon. They loved to show him off to all of their friends.

Even my Grandma Mimi watched him, which is his great grandma. They all had so much fun with him. I wish they were closer and could watch him more. We had good food and company while we were visiting. Here are a few photos from our days in Burley.

Shaydon's Blessing

September 30, 2007

9:00am
Shaydon was blessed by his "nervous" dad. Who did a wonderful job and was inspired by the spirit. He just wanted it to be perfect. Shaydon has been a long time coming and we have been blessed by his presence. We had brunch at our house after the meeting and it was fun having all our family and friends in our home. This was such a special day for our family. Thanks to all of you.

Summer is offically over

This last weekend we took our boat to Burley to store for the winter. It was a sad day!!! We thought we would be able to go one last time after Shaydon was born, but the weather did not cooperate. Until the Spring of 2008.

For Sale

Scott has been talking about a new truck for some time. Now that Shaydon in here he has the perfect reason!! "The car seat just dosen't fit" We wouldn't want to be un-safe!! Anyway he has an ad posted in the idahostatesman and on autotrader.com. We'll see if it sells. Wish him luck.

Training them young!!!

Shopping ~ Shopping ~ Shopping

Shaydon and I went to lunch at Red Robin in Nampa with our friends Rebecca and her son Trey. We love to hangout with them and expecially when we can eat and go shopping. I am going to teach Shaydon at a young age that shopping is fun and then we can gang up on dad and get him to go with us or at least support us and our habit. All in all we had a fun afternoon and if you want to see more pix go to Rebecca's blog. Here is a photo of the pair of shoes I got. I always wanted a pair of peep toe pumps, but they are a little to high for me. I tried to walk around in them at the house and I guess I am a cluts because I am triping over my own two feet. I didn't even wear high heels for my wedding!!!

We can't wait for our trip to McCall in November with the Bledsoes and the Blads.
SEE YOU SOON!

I need your Help!!

I have a lot of organize, creative and clever friends and family. I need some ideas on how to organize my recipes? They are all in a big folder and are such a mess (all different sizes, ect). I was hoping that I wouldn't have to retype them all so they can fit in a traditional recipe box. I have always wanted to do this, but never had time or was home enough. How do you keep your recipes? Well, there is no time like now to start. I'll take any suggestions.....

Thanks

Linder Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Linder pumpkin patch on Saturday with our friends Bo and Jamie. It was such a beautiful day and lots of fun. They had so many varities of pumkins and gords to choose from. They had 3 jump houses for the kids to jump on, a wagon ride, barrel ride and food. Of course we took lots of pictures since we have lots of 1st these days. I carry my camera in my purse so I don't miss anything.

Happy Peaoween

Here is our little "Pea" Isn't he so cute!!!

A must have for all Mom's!!!

Before Shaydon was born we had several friends tell us to get this book, it’s called “On becoming baby wise, giving your infant the gift of nighttime sleep.”(which in return gives me sleep) So Scott gave it to me for my birthday. I am following their advise and it seems to be working. At just 6 weeks Shaydon is sleeping on average 5-7 hour straight during the night, It’s heaven!! I love my sleep and the schedule, I highly recommend it to all mom's and future mom's.

The Mommy Cover

I have been waiting for weeks for my new mommy cover by joia. It was on back order and suppose to be here on the 10th. So I finally called and it was on back order again, but suppose to be in on the 11th and shipped the same day, express over night. For my inconvenience they let me pick out a second one for FREE. I am so excited and can't wait to check the mail tomorrow. Scott hates it when I nurse in public and I am hoping this will help and not make him so uncomfortabe. I recieved it and I love it.....

Thanks to Jessica for the contact.

The Oprah Show

I was watching oprah the other day and I thought this was interesting, so I am sharing.

Eat.Pray.Love
By: Elizabeth Gilbert

Start a journal and answer this question every morning: What do I really, really, really want? "You have to say really, really, really three times or else you don't believe it. And answer it truthfully and do it again the next day and the next and the next," she says. "Because you can't set your journey if you don't know what you're for."

Write down the happiest moment of every day in a happiness journal. "It's a way of reminding myself what really makes me happy and what doesn't," she says, "and learn and study and look back and see what is it consistently."

Refine your mantra. "I say refine, not choose, because we all actually already have a mantra. We just might not realize that we do. Whatever you repeat constantly in your head is your mantra whether you know it or not, and that is leading you on your way," she says. "So if you're repeating, 'I'm a moron, I'm an idiot, I'm a failure, I'm a jerk, I'm a loser,' it's your mantra. So decide whether that's working for you. … Maybe it's not and then maybe you might want to choose a different thing to try to say whenever you remember that you're thinking what you're always doing."
