Christmas Cards

DONE, yea......
I just love our card this year
They were time consuming, but I love how they turned out
As always Scott helped write the letter and I designed (copied) and put it together with some of Shaydon's help

Scott
Scott has had a year of adjustment, learning to be a Dad with all the fun & frustrating times that come along with it. He also changed jobs in early March of this year & is now working for Idaho Power as a Tax Accountant. It has been a very good change for him with less stress & more flexible hours that make it possible to be at home more. He especially enjoys Tuesdays when he gets to pick Shaydon up from the babysitter & spend one-on-one time with him until Sommers gets home from work. He has really enjoyed reading & teaching him about football and other sports. Shaydon is learning & growing everyday I see what a patient loving Mom & wife that Sommers is.

Sommers
Sommers has had a year of change. She decided to give up her position with BLM after 11 years to stay at home and put out the fires there. She missed being out in the field in all the fire action, but instead was able to spend time at Roaring Springs with Shaydon and enjoyed wakeboarding on the Lake. Sommers was even brave enough to take a 10 month old on a 12 hour flight to Europe for 10 days in July with her parents and grandma to visit their exchange student in Luxembourg. They were also able to visit Belguim, France, Germany & Holland. It was a great trip. She has become the ultimate time manager as she goes through each day making sure that Shaydon is able to stick to his schedule so he is a happy boy. Sommers has enjoyed being able to have play group at the house on Wednesdays and getting to watch Landon 1 day a week during the school year
Shaydon
Shaydon has had a year of learning and growing. His little personality is so fun. It’s the little things that Shaydon has learned that make us so proud: Sleep through the night at 4 months, eating real food, playing & sharing with others, laughing at himself, crawling, stand up & walking. Loves to go on drives while listening to Johnny Cash. Going on jogs, shopping & errands with mom. Loves any kind of water & using sign language! Shaydon has tested our patience, but brought such happiness & laughter to our family. It’s hard to remember life without him.

Roxy
Roxy has had an eventful year adjusting to having a curious little boy around all the time. She has had to learn to share her toys and attention with Shaydon and even sometimes her food, but she has done very well. She has especially enjoyed when Shaydon shares his food with her. She is like a vacuum as soon as he drops something she is right on it. We love her very much and are grateful she lets Shaydon pet, crawl & poke her.
Happy Holiday’s to all of you!! We are grateful this time of year to celebrate our Saviors life, who blesses us with the things we need.

Christmas Lights

I finally took a picture of our house Christmas lights. Scott takes pride in his work & it's his favorite thing to get ready for the Holidays... he put them up last Saturday morning. We have a couple of snowflakes, a blow up Santa, icicles lights and some colored lights around the garage door & porch. Oh, don't forget the Christmas tree in the flower bed. I did my part with a fresh wreath from Costco.
