I didn't know what all the hype about DVR was all about until we got one. How could someone watch so much TV? We have been with Dish Network since we bought our house. Well now that it's a competitive market Scott wanted a change. With all the good deals that Direct TV was offering it was a no brainer!! We switched. Yes, it was cheaper plus we got DVR and all HDTV channels etc... Not to mention the NFL Sunday Ticket package. Scott loves it and so do I surprisingly. He likes to keep the memory at 50% or less just so we don't miss a football game.

Once and awhile I will record Martha Stewart, TMZ or ET the smut as my sister-in-law calls it.

I am sure there are and will be more as we discover all the new channels we have. We have recorded lots of movies now. We use to have Netflix and loved it, but now with DVR we canceled our membership about a month ago.

Saturday we went to Lucky Peak for the last time. It was such a BEAUTIFUL day!! If I had to pick my BEST day ever it would be a day like this:

Wake up a little late
Yard sales
Get boat stuff together
Wakeboard my little heart out to the point I can't walk the next day
Clean up boat (okay Scott does most of this while I put Shaydon do bed)
Order dinner from Thai Cuisine (Love the RED curry)
Check blog/email
Hit the sack

(Oh, course there is feed, clothe and change Shaydon, straiten house, watch nephew's flag football game, lunch, errors make cookies and start a movie, but we fell asleep)

We got a cover made for the boat and it looks sooo nice!! Now we just need to winterize it for next season.

Since I don't have my camera this is a pix of what our boat looks like only is blue and grey and has the word Calabria (PRO-V) on the outside. We sold our Malibu this summer and went in on a boat with my brother. We really like it, but we have that Hunt breakdown gene so we have to be careful about that.

Planet Kid

Shaydon and I went and stole Trey on Wednesday afternoon to give Rebecca and Tian a little alone time. We went to Planet kid (WINGS) which is really close to my house and then went to McDonald's to have some dinner. This was my first time to Planet kid and what a fun place, it was only $4.50 to enter and for any amount of time. We were there for 2 hours. Scott and Justin meet us there to join in the fun after work. They even had an admirer who showed Trey and Shaydon around or the ropes.

At McDonald's Shaydon had to show Trey how to eat the chicken nuggets and then Trey got in the groove. They were such good sharers!!

It's a GREAT place to work and a really good location. I've been there for 5 years. It's on Curtis Road in between Emerald and Franklin. There are 6 total massage therapist that work there and we are all independent contractors. It's been perfect for me since I had Shaydon and went part time. Tuesday's & Saturday's. I have some wonderful clients that have been with me since I moved to Boise 7 years ago. This is a post card I sent out to my clients this summer with a $10.00 off coupon.

I really love these by SMITH-Shorelinein black Plum, but I tend to loose them often. Scott says I need to buy them in two's so I always have a back up!!!

My camera broke last Monday and I was suppose to get it back from Best Buy today, but I never heard anything from them. No surprise!! I am going to call tomorrow. I bought the service plan and I thought they would just replace it, but I guess they think they can fix it? Any bets on how much longer?

Vintage Pickel Elevator

I can't believe that I haven't BLOGGED about this!!!

Anytime that we go to Mimi's house we have pickles, Dill pickles!! Baby Dill Pickles okay Milwaukee's Midget Kosher Dill pickles!!! Anything else is just not the same. They only sell them at Smith's in Burley so we stock up there or in Mimi's food storage!!

Now to the elevator!!! The pickle elevator. The Rubbermaid company use to make this Tupperware just for pickles. Well now it's a vintage item and hard to find. They make something similar, but it's just not the same. About 3 years ago I found 2 of them at a yard sale for 25 cents each. I spotted them and took off running toward them. One was labeled sweet and the other dill. I was so excited. Now the trouble was who was I going to give the other one too. Defiantly someone who would appreciate it as much as us Hunt's did. I don't remember who I had for Christmas that year, but they were the lucky winners. It was the hit of Christmas. People were even willing to pay lots of money!

Pickles just don't taste the same if they don't come from the pickle elevator!! Thanks Mimi for such a GREAT tradition of eating pickles. You know Shaydon is part Hunt because he loves them already!! I gave him his first pickle at 7 months!!

Pedicures

Rebecca and I (and Shaydon) went and got a pedicure one day before Tian was to arrive!! Rebecca cashed in on her GC I got her and we enjoyed each others company.

Lucky Peak

It was fun to go to the Lake with Shaydon's cousins!! Zack, Lily and Nic!!! We sure love you guy and are glad you came to the lake with us.... Can't wait for next season to start. We will hold you to your word about learning to wake board!! Hopefully it will be a longer season and warmer next time. The lake water levels are going down and so we adventured to the land to explore!! It was such a beautiful day! Not a cloud in the sky and 88 degrees. Zack said this is the BEST day of his life. How cute he is!!!

I hope this is not our last adventure to the Lake this season. We will see!!!

Friday is Date Night

Scott and I have not been to the Temple for I don't remember how long. Too Long!! So we went on a date and did a session at the Boise Temple. After we went to dinner and were home by 8:30pm to put Shaydon to bed!! Then we watched a movie with popcorn for me and sour patch for Scott. It was a nice evening. Thanks Scott for taking me!!!

It's so fun having Landon over for play time with Shaydon. You can tell Landon has been at Aunt Sommers house. I spiked the little hair he does have!!

Shaydon had fun playing with Treyton and Nixon. Between basketball, sidewalk chalk and just crawling around. They were pretty dirty! So we put them all in the bath together. This was another first for Shaydon!! They had fun with the spider man bubbles, toys and splashing every where.

New View

Since we were going to Burley this weekend I thought I would give Shaydon a new view for the ride. To be honest he really didn't like it, but is getting use to it now. He loved looking around so much that he only napped about 30 minutes of the 2 hour ride. This is really unlike him. He usually sleep the whole way!! He is adjusting and I think I fixed it better so it "fits" him. You didn't know it takes a Masters to set up and install a car seat. Scott couldn't figure it out? But I think it was that he didn't want to take the time to read the instruction book. Love you, but it's true!!!

Congratulations!!!

This was a girl that I use to babysit when she was young. Our family's have been really good Friends since I was very young. In fact when I was married her mother was my escort because my parents were unable to be in the temple with me. I have grown very close to the Jones family and their kids. It was a very special day and we were so honored to be in attendance. We went to the temple at 8:30am the luncheon at 1:00pm which was done by my mother and the reception at 6:00pm at the Jones residents. It was such a beautiful day & so was the bride.

Greg is so good with him. Shaydon has a scared look on his face, but he usually doesn't cry. it's because I am taking pix today.

I have been networking with Greg since I first moved to Boise 7.5 years ago. Shaydon has been going to Dr. Ferch since he was born. Greg gave us this shirt for him on his first adjustment at 7 day's old. (It says Dr. Ferch Chiro-Kid) It was a little big then so we wanted to get a picture of them before he grows out of it. I really belive in Chriopractic work not only for myself, but for my family. Shaydon has only been sick with a cold/stuffy nose twice and only one high tempeture that we took him to the ER for. He has been a very HEALTHY boy. It seems like I am always hearing stories of how often others kids are sick from daycare, playgroups etc... I am greatful that we have not been in that situation. I chaulk it up to Dr. Ferch and our adjustments.
