Almost everyone looking at the camera

It's sad to say, but I don't know how long we have had this tradition, but at least 8 years!! WE have officially DOUBLED in size since we 1st started. How fun though! This year we were lucky to have the Francis family in town and miss them being so close. We started by having the kids make their turkey hats and then on to a traditional turkey dinner, visiting, dessert and then to the photo of everyone.

We were reminiscing on how things have changed since we 1st started doing the dinner. On time with Elaborate table setting with name cards & center piece. Planning a month ahead. Games for adults and visiting until 10:30 at night. Now we are lucky to get there late, but better than never. With all the kids dresses and didn't forget the rolls in the oven at home. Crafts for the kids, dinner with a kids & adult tables & not enough room for everyone to sit down or highchairs. Food thrown, spills and can't hear yourself talk. Words of eat your food, but I want the other person's food. Not enough jello. Toys, toys, and more toys. Fighting over toys, learning to share. Something lost and forgotten. BUT we love it this way, RIGHT?!!

I wouldn't change it!
Thanks for everyone coming!

Holiday Parade

in Boise
We decided to go down to the parade last minute, but it sure was fun.
Shaydon loved it.
It think it was his 1st parade! It was a bit chilly too.
He scored a sticker, some candy & candy canes!
He thought he was pretty special!

looks like my hat is falling off.

After we went to go have breakfast, but it was a 40 minute wait at Cracker Barrel so we went to Goodwood instead for lunch. I guess it was 11:30 AM.

Happy Thanksgiving

I don't have one photo from thanksgiving, but my dad did come up and I was prepared to make the whole turkey dinner, but then we ended up going over to Juston's house and sharing the day with them. We brought homemade rolls, sweet potato casserole, jello blocks, jello salad, wassail and pie! The Halls did everything else!! It was so delicious!! This kids had such a GREAT time together. There was a adult and kid table decked out to the rim. The tables were beautiful!! Kiddos to Kristine. After dinner dad cleaned up all the dishes and then went outside (beautiful day) and played some bump with the boys & also chased Morgan and Shaydon around til I think he was ready for a nap too. Shaydon fell asleep on the way home and took a good nap.

Thanks Halls for a GREAT day!

We invited the Down's over for dessert later that night. They stayed home too for the holiday. It was fun for the boys to play and of course the Broncos were on and we watched the game over some pumpkin cheesecake for the adults and the kids wanted PB & J!!

Thanks for driving over and spending the night with us :)

Burley Trip

Our trip to Burley this weekend is because Scott's dad has been in the Stake Presidency for 18 years. He was called as the first counselor and when his 9 years were over they called him to be the Stake President. Any way his 9 years as Stake President were up and everyone headed to Burley to see him get released by Elder Dallin H. Oaks (his wife even came). He & his wife stayed at Barbara and Larry's house for the weekend. We stayed at my dad's house. Larry did a great job on his talk on Sunday and it's going to be a real change for him & Barbara. After 18 years of church meetings it's going to take a little getting use to all the time on thier hands! As we were sitting down for stake conference to start Elder Oaks was going around shaking every one's hands. I was so busy getting Shaydon's coat off and toys and snacks ready I didn't see him coming around. So it caught me off guard, but we all got to shake his hand multiple time before the day was over. We were all able to meet Elder Oaks and his wife on Sunday after lunch. They were very nice to take the time to meet all of us and ask if we had any questions for him? No one asked a single question. To nervous I guess. Elder Oaks is a very deep speaker but today seem to speak very warm and loving & on our level. He did a GREAT job. This was the 1st time any of us have meet a general authority. What a amazing opportunity.

BSU vs U of I

Say cheese? It's hard to get two busy boy's to hold still for a pix!!

While the parents are out playing we get to have a sleep over with Landon!! It just so happened that it was a Sunday that Scott was giving a talk in Sacrament and we had to be out of the house by 8:40AM. Never been done before with only one child, but we did it!! I kept both kids corralled in a bench seat and listened to Scott's talk!!

Pretty good if I don't say so my self.

Matching cousins and cute ones at that!!

overflow

AGAIN!! Another leak/flood, this time the sunk pump !(sp)

Just what you want to deal with when it's your 1st night back in your own house with a son who got up at 6:30AM. So it was me and Shaydon at church today.
Thanks for cleaning up dad! and Chad for a quick fix!!
