My aunt dawn was diagnosed with breast cancer and is in treatment. They held a zumba fundraiser night to help raise money for her and another child who is battling cancer!! so many people donated and talked about there struggle and will power to win against cancer.

There were lots of people and my dad was there to hand out water to the participants.

fishing

papa has been telling shaydon that he is going to take him fishing for like a year now.....so he finally followed through and we drove to hagerman on a spur of the moment trip and went fishing with him...he went the night before and caught these big ones....

what a fun time. dad had an auction in hagerman on saturday so we went down and visited him and went fishing for the evening at a friends pond. (he stocks it so shaydon was gareented to catch a fish) when we got there we had a hambuger 4pm, but by the time we left it was 9pm and everyone was hungry so we had soda and chips on the way home thanks to papa!! shaydon thought that was so cool. junk food for dinner! thanks to lamar for letting us fish in his pond. we hope to do it again, both the fishing and more of the spur of moment adventures this summer.

we were very lucky to spend easter with my dad. it was a low key weekend but fun.

kite flying, went to see a parade of homes, house in eagle, naps, and a traditional delicious dinner. ham, lime jello, garlic potatoes, sweet potato's, corn, rolls and strawberry shortcake. thanks to everyone for the easter stuff for the kids they are very spoiled by both set of grand parents & aunts!! there is so much candy around the house it's ridiculous. so much for the 10 lb's i need to loose. all of this is nice, but the real reason for easter is JESUS. we are very grateful for his sacrifice for us and everyone. we are grateful for our belief and do our best to teach that to our boys. we hope to be good examples to them. thanks to him for giving us the opportunity to be parents.

Republic Storage Auction

Our 1st Storage Unit Auction we bought one unit & we'll see where that takes us!

Shaydon and Landon had SO much fun playing in the puddles and the toys when we were cleaning it out!!

I am Grateful that they play so good together!

Potty Training

My dad is one of the 1st to change Shaydon's Dirty diaper, but this weekend he put him in underwear and it looks like I need to start to training. He went 2X in the potty for dad, just that morning. He was so excited, well so was papa, mom & dad. I wanted to do this back in October, but it was when I found out that we were expecting and I was soooo sick. So it got put on hold. Well my new goal is to get is done by February, but hoping by the end of January.

So here we go.

Any advise from those who have concurred this?

Surprise

Earlier this week my dad was sick and I was calling to check on him and it sounded like he was driving and I said where are you going? He said I am in Mt. Home. It was about 6:00pm. What a GREAT surprise. He said why don't you and Scott go out tonight you have a free babysitter. WOW what a GREAT idea. So we did. We saw Invictus! What a Good movie. They had fun staying up a little later and playing. Shaydon sure loves his PAPA!! I had told Shaydon that papa was coming to our house and the next 30 minuets was when is papa coming? I thought papa was coming to my house? Remind me to never tell him until he is AT our house. That was a long 30 minutes.

It was so fun having Shaydon to enjoy the Christmas morning with. He is such a joy!! Shaydon sleeped in until 9:30am so we had a late start which we also enjoyed!! Santa never wraps his gifts or stocking! Then we opened our gifts to each other, looked through our stockings, had breakfast and then just relaxed and played morning/afternoon until Scott's family arrived.

Christmas Eve

My dad came up early morning and we took the boys to monkey business!! What a GREAT place for kids. It wasn't too full, but others had the same idea. Then we ordered lunch for the BEST Pizza place in Boise. Digg's Pizza.

They had all kinds of jump houses, mats, outdoor play ground stuff, rock wall and jungle gym! I am glad they have so much fun together!!

After naps it was present time. They were spoiled by everyone and enjoyed their new guitars and big pop up baskets!
