(if you have kids you know that they don't have a concept of time! only an hour before we left the house for the race did i tell him what we were going to do. so the next 2 hours tested my patience!!! he was so excited and asked so many questions i was about done before we even got started. we watch a few of the field events before the track events started and all he kept saying "was when is my race" so scott went and started to practice with him explaining all the rules and lane assignments. he asked more questions...until finally the other kids got there and they got all the questions. Gotta love my 3 year old)

we met landon & mollie at mickey d's for lunch and let the kids eat & play! wasn't sure how shaydon would do with his broken arm. we haven't been back to a "play" place since! it didn't seem to slow him down. thanks for the invite it was fun to see you guys & catch up!!

for the subdivision was at our house 4-6pm. everyone was to bring an appetizer and there baskets for our Easter egg hunt. we ended up having about 30 kids. they had lots of fun and even enjoyed the scavenger hunt after. we invited landon over for the fun and they both had lots of fun together. we ended up having to put the pirates swords away because they couldn't share, but that didn't stop them..... they were off the the sandbox!!! they are so good with each other. Thanks landon for coming & having some fun.

Landon had a party/sleepover for his 3rd Birthday!!

it started at 6:30pm on friday night

we weren't prepared as we would of like to have been but it was fine

they started by playing with landons toys

and a pass to roaring springs this summer, we can't wait to go with you landon

it was a little stressful being his 1st sleepover for me. he sure thought nothing about it, in fact i know he didn't. once he heard the words sleepover he was jumping/dancing up and down yelling YEAH!!! i didn't sleep very good thinking i was going to get a call in the middle of the night saying to come and pick him up. we ended up going to dinner at goodwood with uncle eric and lily and nic trying to decide if we were really going to let him stay. we called and he was doing fine so we headed back home after dinner. we have tried a sleep over the gerratt cousins and shaydon never went to sleep we put him in a different room at midnight and by two we just went home. I was really worried that he would have an accident and sure enough he did. grrrr.... wishful thinking. I asked him so many questions when i picked him up, but he was sooo tired he couldn't really answer ~ he almost fell asleep on the way home. He did take a good nap on saturday.

i would say our first sleep over was a good success.

Planet kid

has been our new hangout. we have been inviting all our friends to come and play with us here. 1st up was shaydon's favorite person LANDON. thanks to mollie for enjoying the morning with us. it's close to the house and helps burn some indoor energy since the weather is so cold. Slater doesn't quite love it yet. he wants to put all the ball in his mouth. uck......

Sleep Over with nana

So you know the typical love scene on the beach where two people are running from opposite ends of the beach toward each other? This is what Shaydon and Landon did when they first saw each other. Tyson and Landon entered the parking garage from one side and we were on the other. Shaydon started to running toward Landon yelling his name and then Landon started to run. It was so cute (maybe you had to be there, but they sure missed each other & it showed). It was a fun filled night of mac n' cheese for dinner, playing outside, taking pictures, taking a bath together, watching Charlet's Web (thanks nana), naping and just being kids!!!

What a fun day!!! Thanks....

Do you think they had fun together? It was a tight squeeze with 3 car seats in the back, but it works.

We got the opportunity to go and visit Tyson and Landon so we brought our Easter presents that we have been saving for quite some time from papa Hunt, nana Hunt and mimi. They had fun opening everything and especially eating the candy. Thanks grandma and grandpa and great grandma we love you very much!!! The boys had fun playing for a couple of hours until Landon went down for his morning nap.

Landon,

We just wanted you to know how much we love you!!! We fell in love with you the moment you entered this world. We have been so lucky to see you as much as we have in the last 2 years. Your grandma and grandpa Hunt & great grandma Hunt love you and care for you so much too. Everyone in the family is always asking us how you are doing and we love to be the ones to keep them in touch. They are always sending you things in the mail, coming to see you, calling you and checking in especially on Wednesdays. Holidays, special events, birthday's, Roaring Springs, Monkey Business and of course Wednesday's are special times we have gotten to share with you. Or should I say mac & cheese Wednesday's. I think that is your favorite food right now. Shaydon and you have a love hate relationship. One second you are sharing and getting along fine and the next you are fighting as cousins do or any typical 2 year olds. Most of the time you are GREAT though. Such a good napper. Today has been one month since we have gotten to see you and we miss you terribly. It's very hard to explain to Shaydon that we don't know when the next time we will get to see you again will be, but we all hope that day will come soon. We just wanted you to know that we have always wanted to be a part of your life and have done everything we feel we could. We just wanted you to be able to look back on this and know that we love you very much. You & Shaydon have had lots of memories together thus far in your lives and I hope you don't forget that we are the other side of your family. I know we won't forget who you are. Until we see you again.

Happy Valentines Day

My mom sent this to the kids to open on Valentines day, but we saved it and did it when Landon comes over on Wednesday. They had lots of fun opening them up. Who doesn't like bunny snacks and suckers!!! Shaydon says " can i have some of nana's bunny snacks" he really has a good memory and know who and what people give to him. He gets this from his dad. I have a hard time remembering what I did yesterday!!
