Blessing Day

What a special day for Slater Larry Gerratt. He was so good for the blessing and Scott did an amazing job. He has been so in tune with the spirit lately and i am so appreciative of it. He even bore his testimony (which is one of the few times I have heard him do such.) Thanks so much to the family and friends who came to support us and helped with the food and traveled long hours in the car to be here. We love you all very much and are so GRATEFUL for you !!

I bought Slaters sweater outfit on EBAY it's from the GAP. Thanks to Aunt Dawn for the crochet blanket to pass down to his kids & a big THANKS to Rebecca for taking the pictures of Slater she is AMAZING at what she does. I am so lucky to have her as a BEST friend.

We had chicken salad sandwich's all kinds of bread, pasta salad, potato salad, fresh fruit, jello salad, jiggler's, chips and dip & homemade lemonade to drink. Dessert was the best part. We had a all white dessert table. So beautiful!!!

Heitzman's

come to town.... Regan and Jeff got into town late Thursday night and stayed until Monday morning. It was so nice to see and visit with them. Regan is such a good little babysitter and cousin to both Shaydon and Slater. Regan ended up staying another 5 days with us until Friday when I meet her dad in McCall to go home. She wasn't feeling good. She was a lifesaver!!! I want her to come down every summer and help with the kids. I got to take a nap, do laundry, shopping, clean the house, give massages, have one on one time with each of the kids and she even help with potty training Shaydon. We did get to do a few fun things like: lunch at Carl's Jr., shopping at the mall, dinner at the cheesecake factory, a day at Roaring Springs, a movie at the theater Kung Fu Panda, dessert after the kids went to bed and a chick flick...

I hope she felt like it wasn't' all work!!

She is the BEST.

He has been asking to go down the slide all week so on there last day the whole class got to go. He loved it and went 3 times and more if she would of let him.

The Dunkleys have lots of outdoor toys and he loves to play after swimming lessons.

WE are so proud of you Shaydon, you love the water and learning to swim.

ps he was getting so brave that one day he went down to the step that water was up to his shoulders and fell off and i had to reach down and get him. he just popped right back up like nothing happened wiped his eyes and mouth and went back over and waited for his turn.

We played with the toys down stairs, watch Special Agent OSO (Shaydon's favorite) ate lunch, took naps, snacked on fruit snacks, colored pictures and laugh and laugh........ We love when Milo

come to play. We are help out mom by taking Milo so she can pack :(

We hope to still have play groups with this little man when they come to Boise. We are sad to see them move. It seems like just when you get to know someone they move!!!!

I am going to miss my friend Cara and her family.

We have served in YW and Nursery together.

She is my yard sale partner and my seamstress/crafting partner.

I am going to miss our playgroups

her always helping me out with Shaydon when I work.

We are glad fruitland isn't too far of a drive.

Pie in July

Our neighborhood has an activity group and I am on the committee.

We are have activities once every other month.

It's fun to go and socialize and meet with the neighbors.

It's a pretty fun group.

I made my 1st chocolate pie.

The kids played with water guns and biked around the marked off areas.

Fun was had by all.

I hope we continue to have good support.

Fire Days

as we were driving home from Utah the last time we saw this!! i admit my heart was a just a "little" sad that I wasn't on my way to this fire. it ended up being really close to the farm land in raft river of scott's family. like across the road. jake had the water truck out helping until BLM got there. shaydon was asleep so he missed all the action.

Garner Family Reunion

Never heard of this camp until the reunion, but what a pretty drive to get there.

And this is the view once we got there. BEAUTIFUL

Shaydon missed out on some of the scenery from snoozing, but wouldn't take off his new shades from the GAP outlet in park city!!

Thanks to Aunt Louise and her family for organizing the reunion and everyone who came to make it a success. Thanks to Leslie and her family for the cabin to stay in. We left on Thursday night and drove to Logan with a pit stop in Burley. Friday we headed to Heber for the reunion. We stoped in Park City for another pit stop and shopping. Saturday we stayed with Wendy in Sandy and left back to Boise on Sunday. Thanks to Todd and Brenda for the pit stop in Burley for the kids to let off some steam. Sorry Jake for the poopy diaper from Slater. Hee Hee.

This trip to Heber was also going to be the last time to see Larry and Barbara before they go on there mission to Germany. I guess they as a couple missionary they get to leave the MTC on Saturday and Sunday (back for fireside on Sunday night) So it was hard to say good bye. Barbara broke down when Shaydon day i love you and miss you grandma. he doesn't realize that the next time he sees them will be 18 months. We have started the Germany Jar to save money to go and visit them. I have a feeling we will be saving for a while. Although Shaydon found .10 cents on the ground at Costco and said lets put it in the jar for grandma and grandpa Gerratt!! It was really cute. It was a GREAT weekend and are sad to see them go, but excited for them to do the Lords work. Hopefully they have figured out how to look at the blog and are keeping in touch. We love you and miss you!!

Need new Tires

for our Honda.

So I had to get a service for the car and this was a recommendation from the service people. Well I knew that, but just did want to spend the money on them. So after some research we decided that they were priced the best at the dealership. (CRAZY huh) So we were going to put the 40K tires on and I scheduled the appointment and went in with both kids thinking it would only take maybe an hour. Well we got there and after about 40 minutes of waiting he comes in and says they are out of the 40K tire and are going to put the 60K tire for the same price and just take the difference off on the labor. Ended up being a sweet deal for us, but the 90 minute wait was a little much.

thanks to eric and yvonne for inviting us to mccall for the weekend. it was our 1st time going during the summer! crazy huh? we had a fun time in the condo and spending time with each other. the kids always love being together. or should i say shaydon loves to be with them/drive them nuts... zack is always so patience with him, thanks! it's not a trip to mccall with out ice cream ally, the lake, the pancake house, pauls market, walking around the farmers market, sleeping in and bike rides.

we renewed our lease for another year ~ yea for us!!!!

..... mom needs a break, so since we were in burley over the 4th we decided to leave shaydon with papa & mimi and todd & brenda. it was a very need break and i am proud of myself for doing it, but i knew he was in good care!! there were lots of rhino rides, trips to the farm and dairy, working with papa, jumping on the trampoline, checking water, riding on the chopper with cousin jake, receiving his very own chopper, playing with mimi's toys. he didn't want to come home. thanks to kenna for bring him back to boise on her way to roaring springs for the day. he was spoiled rotten all week thanks guys. it took a couple of day's to get him back on track i felt so mean!! I guess that is what aunts & uncles grandmas & grandpa's are for!! thanks sooo much for a much needed break.

uncle todd is soooo cool!!! We love the boat and the firework show was AWESOME. We had straight fire works for 15 minutes. you should of seen the set up they had. i think they might be fire junkys!!! i think he might need to take out a loan for all those fireworks. the kids love uncle todd & aunt brenda, kiki and cousion jake and kristi. they keep the kids busy on the tramp or maybe it's the other way around. Thanks for such a fun 4th of July!!
