Part III

When ever we go to Zack, lily and Nic's house and we play outside they put on there boots. Well Shaydon doesn't have boots and it usually ends up being a little fight. Well now he had his own boots. I think Nic was a little jealous he didn't have his.

WE are so lucky to have such a good little boy!! He is always so happy and smiley! We love him SOO much and are grateful he choose us. He has brought much joy, love, laughter and patience to our home. We are so proud of you and love being your parents. We love how freely you tell us "you love us" and want us to "play with you" and keep us on our toes. We hope you will still feel that way in years to come.

Shaydon is into brushing his teeth, likes to sing )starts to sing songs from nursery that he learned: 3 monkey, head shoulders, knees and toes and the house that was build on the rock.) He will eat anything but cottage cheese. Sleeps about 12 hours a night and wakes up talking. Loves to read stories before bedtime and always says "one more" while holding up 1 finger. Still loves bath time & asks for one every night. When he really wants something he will sign it knowing that I will pretty much give it to him. Is ready to start potty training, but a reluctant mother doesn't want that next mile stone. He's growing up! He will tell me he is stinky and go and lay down to change his diaper. Gets on the big toilet and tries to go #2. Talks about his pee pee. At his 2 year appointment he got two shots one in each leg and didn't CRY!! Both the nurse and I were surprised and tried not to look like we were expecting the worse. He is so BRAVE!! He loved the big bouncy ball as his reward!

He makes us smile everyday...and we're so glad he's ours.

Hair Cut #3

Bella Salon and Nails in Nampa is when Nicole Taylor works. She has been doing my hair for the last 5 or so years & I just love her. So while I am processing I get Shaydon's hair cut. He usually sits on my lap, but today he was a Big Boy (literally he's 2 today) he got the booster chair and the monster cape. He hardly moved during the cut. The spray bottle didn't make him nervous neither did the scissors or the electric trimmer. I was so proud of him. He's got this down.

Thanks to Melissa for coming and picking him up after his cut. It's a long time for him to sit/stand/run around a salon. He got to go and play with her youngest Ledger and their new found cat. I pick him up about a hour later.



This was him about 5 minutes into the car ride. He transfers well so he still took an 1.5 hour nap in his crib when we got home. I guess he knew we were having a BIG party for him that night and he need to rest up.

Red Tractors

The Gerratt family is all about the "GREEN" tractors, but we made an exception this once.

This is Chris and he works for Burks Tractor in Caldwell. Thanks to him for letting us know about the Demo day & BBQ. We got there about 12:30pm and had lunch (cheeseburger, hot dogs, red grapes, cookies & Dr. Pepper) and waited for the Bledsoes to arrive so we could get in and test drive a tractor.

This is Rebecca and their tractor. It was the 1st time her or any of her kids have been on a tractor so it was a lot of fun for everyone!!

Play Group

started this week with Landon!! We are excited to see and spend time with him. We only got to see him a few times this summer. Time sure flies!! Since it's getting close to the end of summer and Roaring Springs is going to be closing. Dang weather. I decided to take both kids to RS and have them play. They were sure cute together, but it was a little harder to keep track of both kids. Good thing I had others there to help. I forgot to take my camera inn so I didn't get one pix!! Ugh!!! Just didn't seem feasible to go and get it. It must of worn them both out because they were both asleep by the time I got on the freeway to head back to Boise. We are excited to have Landon and look forward to our Wednesday's!!

2 ME!!

it started off with breakfast at the with rebecca, trey and tian!! thank you! rebecca and i have this thing about birthday's and we just try and make it extra special!! she did just that! i love the scarf and can't wait until cooler weather to wear it.

after we went to the temple to take some pix of the kids. They have the prettiest flowers right now.

then it was off to the mall for a few hours until nap time. found a few good deal as well.

then we went to wal-mart, yeah right!! scott never comes shopping with me so it was nice to get a few things together. Thanks honey.

It was a GREAT day and thanks for all the calls/fb and presents which added to my special day!

Westen Idaho Fair

Papa came to town so we went and checked out state fair!!

shaydon likes to see & WOW at all the animals, but didn't want to pet them.

he did make all the sounds though, quack quack!!

we also saw a tiger in the rain forest section

splashing dogs, corn on the cob, agriculture building (very educational), watching the carnival rides, sipping lemonade and watching the magician were the highlights of the Fair.

Settling Into leaks

1 is from the rain and sprinklers on the east side of the house.

Which leaked into the bottom two bedrooms (Shaydon's and the Guest)

2 is coming from the master bathroom shower nothing like a new tile shower to replace along with a new ceiling downstairs (drywall, tape, texture and paint) and mold treatment!

Our house has been torn up for 3 week & counting, Scott said "bigger house bigger problems" too bad we aren't made of money!!

Sealing

What a GREAT Day. My grandma got sealed to her husband "Doodle" and then also sealed to her daughter in the Twinfalls Temple at 9:00AM. It was a a special day because my grandma went to the temple for the 1st time when I went through. So I got to be a part of her special day too. I love you MIMI!! After we went to IHOP where mimi took us all to breakfast she is so wonderful. Thanks!!! It was also good to see all of the Becks. I was thinking about when we (cousins) grew up in Burley and how much fun we had at mimi's house. We did a lot together including getting sick. It's sad now that we are all in different parts of the US and our kids don't get the same experience.

What a CRAZY week but a good week!

Mini-Cassia Fair

This was a crazy year for the Burley fair. For the 1st time in 30 years my mom was not here. I was so proud of my dad for all of his hard work and planning for this week. Tyson came up as well on Tuesday. It did not go with out some hick-ups, but pretty well. He had too much help. Crazy huh? Shaydon and I came down on Wednesday morning and stayed until Sunday. Scott come up on Friday night along with his sister's from Utah and Eric from Boise. His family always gets together this weekend. Eric had is HS 20 year reunion. Larry always takes everyone to the rodeo on Saturday night. Thanks to Mimi and Barbara for watching Shaydon and letting me work at the fair all week.

Shaydon gave me the scare of my life thus far: I was in the trailer making salad most of the time. Dad "papa" was watching Shaydon. He We got really busy and the next thing we new Shaydon was gone. I don't know how long he was gone for, but it seems like forever. After looking for about 2-3 minutes. Papa found him!! He saw his shoes on the ground (that he took off) and just his legs going into a huge jump house that was located kiddy corner from our booth. He just thought he was going to go and play. My heart was glad we found him, but now without skipping a few beats!!

Facts:

• Papa had such a fun time with him looking at the animals, showing him off, eating/drinking everything he wanted & lots of ice cream! Cotton Candy and Birthday Cake were his favorites!!


• Couldn't of done it with out Kayla she was the BEST help!!


• Know what "RLS" Restless leg syndrome is (Standing too long)


• Love corn on the cob!!


• Ate fried OREO cookies, they were soooo good!


• I don't like DRAMA


• Hate allergies


• I was emotional


• My dad is the NICEST guy I know, and people take advantage of that & I HATE it!!

Short Visitors

We have a Car Lot at our new house, but we don't mind. We will take anyone almost!! The Becks are on there way to Washington to see the other half of the Beck and we are cheaper than the airport parking!! We love to see you guys even if it is only for a few minutes!! :)
