NCAA tournment in Boise

Scott went to the games here in Boise with his brother Eric & Dad. They were gone all day 10:00am -10:30pm. They got there tix 2 years ago and have been looking forward to this for a long time.

So since the boys were gone the girls went to Costco for food for the weekend, Alisa & Bailey, Me & Shaydon went to story time at the library and then we meet up the Zack, Lily and Nic & they played all day outside in the 70+ degree temps with no naps!!!

they had such a fun night topped off the grilled cheese and cookies for dinner.

Someone asked us are they twins? Loved having someone in the cart with him!!

We are very proud of dad's team!! They were #1 seat in their division and they won the BIG game!! All season their games have been on Tuesday night and I work so we were only able to attend one regular season game, one playoff game and then the championship game!! Scott had a GREAT game we are so proud of him. After the playoff game they were all pretty sore and only had one rest day before the championship game. So they decided to sit in the hot tub at Gold's & rehab their "old" bodies. They think they are still in their teens. We know different, since the first thing he does when he gets home is reach for the ibuprofen bottle!

It's always nice to have family come to town. Jeff and Regan stayed at our house for the State games and we had a GREAT time. Regan just loves Shaydon and never let him get out of her sight!! She was such a good help. I told here before she left that Shaydon will not know what to do with out her. He will have to make decision with out her help. Thanks for watching him Regan, We love you!!!! They even help us clean to get the house ready to show on Saturday!! Your the BEST!!!

Ida's Big Day

Our dearest friend Ida got married on Saturday to Daniel. It was a bitter sweet marriage. Her 1st husband died of MS 4 years ago. It's hard to see her move on, but we wish her the best!!

Afghanistan

Our 1st stop was Burley on Thursday night. We stayed at my parents house. Burley is such a GREAT half way point. I had a dentist appointment at 8:00am. Scott took Shaydon over to see his parents and have breakfast in the morning. I was done by 9:00 and we were on the road by 10:00am. Thanks everyone for helping us get out of town.


Our 2ed stop on our trip to Utah was Maddox Diner in Brigham City. We've never ate there, but the Gerratt's love it. So we invited Alisa & Bailey to come and eat with us!! Shaydon and Bailey are only 4 months apart, but we haven't gotten to see her since Thanksgiving.


Final top Sandy, Utah!!! 6 hours later... We made it. We haven't been to Utah for a long time. We couldn't think of the last time?! How sad. We love to be at the Harding's they make us feel like were at home. She always make something wonderful to eat. Scott said get the recipe from her. Also Dave is leaving for Afghanistan on Monday morning for 12o day's. We didn't want to disrupt their last weekend with them, but they insisted we still come. Oh, the fun we had:

• Watched Madagascar 2
• Relaxed & Visited with everyone
• Watched Dave repair, paint the walls, doing his last "Honey Do's"
• Scott went Snowboarding at Brighten
• I went Shopping at IKEA
• Dinner on Valentines at Club Med it was a Mediterranean Restaurant that was GREAT!!! (too bad I was sick, Thanks Lex and Log for watching Shaydon)
• Went to Sacrament with the family
• Played Rock Band
• Took lots of Naps

2009 Special Olympics

Boise Idaho is celebrating this special occasion and we went Down Town to feel the spirit of the Olympics. They had booths set up with local vender's, games for everyone to play, ice sculptures, food and entertainment. FREEZING weather. The Grove hotel was hosting the Figure Skating and scheduled to be over at 6:45pm, but we were there at 5:30pm and it was already over. After taking in the sights about 45 minutes we decided to go the the Fair Grounds and see the events there, They were not suppose to be over until 8:00pm. We got there by 6:30pm and no one was hardly left in the parking lot. Over early too. I guess it just wasn't' meant to be!!! How sad.









There was a fan board to sign your name on(10X5 feet), Shaydon is officially a fan!!!

McCall, Idaho

this was my favorite. Sorry the pix is not very good. It's a grove of trees with faces on each one. With a castle in the middle.

We went to the Winter Carnival on Friday after work (it started to snow when we were in Donnley) and headed back on Saturday night. We stayed at my brothers cabin and it was beautiful. It was a short trip, but worth it.

We went to breakfast at the pancake house walked around the ice sculptures which were really good this year and sat in the hot tub! it was a nice relaxing trip. Thanks to the Hall's for letting us stay. We look forward to our next trip up there.

Sickie WEEKEND-Week

Shaydon and I headed to Burley for a weekend. I had a dentist appointment on Friday morning and then just went to see family. Mimi watched Shaydon while I went to the Dentist. I was pretty sore and tired after my apt. so I took a nap while Shaydon and Dad played for 2 hours together. Thanks for letting me sleep. Needless to say it was a start of our sick week to come. Shaydon and I with the flu. Scott with the upset stomach. Scott arrived with the Perkins by 8:30pm. Scott's parents are returning from SLC so we will be able to see them too (before they fly off to Hawaii). It's always nice to be around family and have the extra help. I forget how much help they are. My Brother was there also so it was nice to see him too. Thanks for a relaxing weekend. We headed back on Saturday Night after dinner with the Gerratt's and helping out at Al's with some dishes!!!

Thyroid Gland

In December Lyndsie (she's 21) was in training with an ultra sound tech. The tech suggested that Lyndsie try it out and do an ultrasound on herself on her thyroid. She did and as she was doing so the tech noticed a growth on her thyroid. They called in their supervisor and she suggested that Lyndsie should see someone. Well she had it biopsied and they couldn't tell if it was cancerous or not. They told her to watch it. She did and on her next ultrasound it had grown. She saw a doctor in Idaho Falls and was recommended to get it out and was referred to a surgeon. She had surgery on Wednesday and went home on Thursday. They took the growth that was on her thyroid, but didn't get into it. She was told that she would get the results back on Monday (Three days ago). She did and the growth was malignant. So they went back in yesterday to remove her thyroid. Now she will have to have radiation. She is a very strong person and we know she can do anything.

WE love her very much and have been praying for her and her family!!!!
