a few of the FUNNY things shaydon has said lately

~ he saw a pix of Jesus on the Internet as I was scrolling fast and recognized him. "Mom that was Jesus!"

~ i making peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for lunch and I always let him pick out a cookie cutter and cut his sandwich. He choose a ghost. He kept saying something and I couldn't understand him and then it hit me. About 3 weeks ago we had a lesson in nursery on the Holy Ghost and we had the kids repeat the name "Hoooly Ghooost". He just kept repeating it!

~when we get into the car and and the sun is shining he says: "turn off the light, too bright. i need my glasses."

~shaydon has been taking off his one peice PJ's at night, when i ask him why he says "because mom, too tight" I guess they are too small

What a GREAT weekend!!

Presidents Weekend

We went to Sandy, Utah to visit Scott's sister Wendy & her family. We always have such a fun time while we are there. Thank for being such GREAT hostesses. I guess it's officially a tradition because we have done it 3 years in a row over President's weekend. Scott went to Brighten ski resort on Saturday and said the snow was AWESOME. I was sick the 1st two trips down and now am pregnant maybe be next year!!

We stoped in Burley for a snack with "papa hunt"

Made it all the way to SLC till the movie was our last resort

we were stuck in traffic for an extra 30 minutes

I can't go to Utah with out stopping at my favorite place

Got a few new things to help organize the kids playroom

This week at story time it was all about Birthday's:

presents, decorations, balloons, cake, ice cream, candles.

All the books, games & songs had to deal with birthdays

One of his favorite things is getting a stamp on his hand at the end of storytime

this week you got a stamp of a candle for how old you are!!

He love to tell his dad about this when he gets home from work.

He had so much fun that the 30 minutes flew by

They do such a GREAT job there.

I have been wanted to let Shaydon bring his shopping cart to go grocery shopping for some time now and I finally remember and we did it. We were a little slow, but it was worth it.

He thought he was so cool.

We walked the whole store and he never got tired once.

He even helps put them away when we get home.

He didn't want to put much in his cart, I tried!!

He was choosy to what went in.

He had such a fun time!!

Most everyone was nice and told him what a GREAT helper he was.

Nursery

We got put into nursery last July.

We started off by having the younger age 18 months- 2 years.

In October we got the older Nursery ages 2-3 years old.

We didn't have Shaydon in our class for 3 months, but he's back with us.

It's amazing how much 6-8 months maturity will get you. It's almost like we have the younger kids again most of them don't turn 3 until late in the year.

We are excited for the new year and new class.

Shaydon loves church & even knows when we pass the church building on non church going days. He repeated his 1st prayer in December. So precious!!!

He loves to wear a tie and belt to church like his daddy.

He packs his bag of coloring books and toy for sacrament.

He brings us such joy.

were my choice for DESSERT tonight!!

They turned out pretty good other than the house smells like fried oil!!

We had them for the 1st time at the Cassia County Fair last August and I always wanted to know how they made them. So awhile ago we were watching Jay Leno & Kim Kardashian was on and her favorite junk food is fried Oreo and they made some. So I got that same recipe & tried it. Pretty good, but not as good as the 1st time I had them.

Landon is a very picky eater and we have found that Wednesday are officially

Day's. It's always a guarantee he will eat lunch. Shaydon really didn't like it, but since Landon does they eat it together now.

well shaydon is almost 2 1/2 and i figured it was time to allow him to play with play dough. he sure had fun while i got dinner ready tonight. he loves to cut it with the knife & scissors BEST! he is already asking to play with it after dinner. maybe tomorrow!!

This is only our 2nd time going to the game, but Shaydon sure loves to sit and watch his daddy play. He brings his jersey and ball so he thinks he can play too, but actually he does well with sitting a watching dad play. They lost this game, but only by 7 and they played the best team in the league and they were missing 2 players.

We enjoy watching him play!!
