What a day....
So on the way home I stopped at Tyson's to pick up the boat to go up to Lucky Peak on Saturday. Well the jack that holds the boat up is broken and is in the middle of getting fixed so it was a little difficult to hook up to, but his roommate was there and help me. So a 5 minute job took about 20 minutes. Then I had to meet Scott down town which meant I had to tow the boat with me. Parking took awhile to find a place big enough. On the way home we wanted to stop by Water Ski Pro Shop and get a few thing for tomorrow, buton the way there I got a flat tire on the boat trailer on the connector. So after calling Les Schwab to come to the rescue us because we didn't not have a spare tire on the trailer; so $135.00 later we were off to WSPS! Arrived just in to for them to be CLOSED! 5:00pm. It just so happened that they let us in and stayed until 5:30 to help us. THANKS WSPS!!!!
That's a blow out!!

5 countries in 11 days......
WOW...
We had such a GREAT time in Europe. Shaydon did so well on the 11 hour plane ride he even had his own seat. He slept 6 of the 11 hours and hardly fussed. I had to pull lots of tricks out of my bag though. It was nice to have so many nice people around us as well who were understanding and have been in my shoes! We had lots of complements on how well he did.
(Boise to SLC to Paris)
On the way home Shaydon was not as lucky to have his own seat, but we were seated in a block head with more leg room. So we made the best of it even though he only slept 2 of the 10 hours and man were we grateful for grandparents to which off with. Just like any trip it's bitter sweet we don't want to leave, but are excited to get home and that's no different for Shaydon. He totally knew we were on our way home and couldn't wait.
(Frankfurt to Paris to SLC to Boise)
The hardest thing about bringing a baby is the time change, it was 8 hours different and he is a very scheduled baby. Eat, play, sleep... repeat!! So the trip changed his schedule, but sooo worth it. We have gotten back into the swing of things and were so grateful for the opportunity to go to Europe with my family. Thanks dad for letting us go. We missed you though...
The exchange rate was $1.58 to 1 Euro. So the dollar is very weak. You would get a better exchange rate if you used your credit card and then when we got to Luxembourg Franck deposited our money into his bank and then with drew euros because he gets a better rate.
I have some pix I want to post, but they are on my mom and dad's camera and they don't know how to email them.

- Went to the Frankfurt, Germany Temple arrive at 3:35pm and it closed at 3:30pm so we just took pix from the outside
- Headed downtown for shopping and site seeing. Walked around for about 2 hours

- This was one of the warmest days we had 80 degrees
7.11.08
- Woke up at 5:00am to check the shuttle to the airport
- Had warm chocolate crescent rolls with OJ for breakfast
- Walked a mile and half just to get to the gate to check in our luggage. Mimi Shaydon and I were together and lost mom and dad for about 30 minutes. Frankfurt airport might be the largest airport in the world?

Nieuwpoort, Belgium
7.5.08
- On the Drive there we stopped and got gas which was interesting. There gas stations are literally on the freeway. A very quick in and out.
- Oh and you have to pay for the restroom around .50-.75 cents
- We stayed at the Cosmopolite Hotel which was very nice and close to the North Sea and boardwalk.
- Dinner was on the Boardwalk I had pasta that was pretty good. Lunch was on the road
- We just walked around and window shopped because the stores were closed. The were having a festival, something to do with "witches" so there was a big bonfire and social gathering on the beach. So Pretty. They had fireworks once it got dark.
- The weather was perfect mid 70's and over cast
- Shaydon had a rough night and wouldn't stop crying, not like him. My dad ended up taking a walk with him down to the Beach and watched the fireworks and then came back and he was asleep in him arms. Although when he left he didn't take a key and so my mom thought he had been gone awhile and went outside and found him sitting on the bench hoping someone would come and let him in. Such a nice Grandpa. I was so tired I slept right through it.
7.6.08
- Had Breakfast in the Hotel discovered Nutella, love it. It even comes in little 1 time servings like butter. I also love the hot coco, it's real chocolate and so rich makes ours in the states taste watered down.
- Then traveled to Holland for the day
- Had Breakfast in the Hotel quick, easy and good. Breakfast is only served until 9:30 am.
7.7.08
- Shopped until 2:00pm bought mostly for Shaydon and Landon such cute kids clothes got him a new swim suite for next summer.
- Traveled back to Lexumburge
- Stopped at IKEA on the way home, it's my favorite place. Now I have been to one in Belgium, Seattle and SLC.

Paris, France
7.2.08
- Took the metro to get around which was a 1st for everyone, but me.
- Our first stop was the Eiffel Tower such an amazing structure
- Then grandpa took Shaydon on his 1st carousel ride While the rest of us ate crapes with chocolate
- Then it was off to The Sacré-Cœur Basilica "Basilica of the Sacred Heart" is a Roman Catholic basilica it is located on the highest point in Paris.
- Went on a dinner boat ride up the Seine River which was beautiful to see all the sites we saw earlier that day, Mimi liked this because we didn't have to walk! The food was a 4 course meal that was delicious. We all tried lots of new things, including veal.
- Had drinks at the corner cafe and people watched. When you order water it's either flat or sparkling and comes in a small or large bottle that you pour into a glass.
- Our 1st night in the Kyriad Hotel I slept with Mimi and I think she wished she would of kept the ear plugs from the plane as Shaydon got up 3 times during the night. Which I thought was pretty good considering the time change, but Mimi didn't think so.
- Breakfast was on the plane "gross". Lunch was at "touristy" restaurant not very good food, but like the onion soup. Dinner on the Boat I had the cantaloupe soup, veal, and citrus sorbet for dessert.

- The Champs Elysees and the Notre Dame were our 2 stops for today
- Don't forget the bakery on the corner for some bread and pastry's (couldn't get enough of the chocolate crescent rolls)
- Loaded back into the Van that Franck borrowed from his work to hall us and our stuff back to Dudelange Luxembourg. About a 3 hour car ride through the green lush country, but not without some traffic. It was hard to stay awake some of the time because we were so tired, but we would miss out on our personal tour of the county side.
- Mimi stayed at Sonya's house while Me, Shaydon, Mom and Dad slept at Franck's apartment which was down town Dudelange Luxembourg
- Breakfast was at the Hotel buffet style(meat, cheese, breads, pastries, coffee, hot coco, OJ, fruit cocktail and prunes) Lunch at Dinner at McDonald's because nothing else was open. Most of the stores/restaurants close by 7:00pm and we got in late from France.
