Jessica invited me to get a pedicure as we were on our way back from Nampa. She waited until we got there, but Scott wanted to get his hair cut so I took Shaydon until he was done and then came and picked him up and we had a couple hours of girl time.

Our Friends the Francis were in town from California for Labor Day weekend and we were all suppose to all have lunch together, but they got busy and so did the Blads so it just ended up being us and the Bledsoes. It was fun anyway.... Thanks Justin for taking the pix.

how time flies.......

We had such a Special evening planed for Shaydon. It was perfect. Lots of Family and Friends, visiting, ice cream, cupcakes, candy, presents and lots of playing.

Thanks to all who took time to come and celebrate our 1st birthday with Shaydon. How exciting it was to think he is one year old. Time sure does fly!!! We love him so much and are excited to see what the next year brings.

A few of his favorite things to do are:

• Crawling everywhere
• Pulling himself up to things and starting to walk along the furniture
• Look and get into the fridge
• Eat Roxy's food
• Loves his snacks after nap time
• Still takes 2 naps a day in his crib about 1.5-2 hours
• Loves when cousin Landon comes to visit and play
• Keeps himself entertained for longer periods during the day (30 minutes)
• Loves our morning runs outside with Roxy too
• Eats on our schedule 3 meals a day with a snack (loves all fruit; blueberry's, melons, oatmeal, cheese, pasta & bread)
• Shopping with mom
• Being more independent and doing things himself
• Not sure what to think about his new car seat, not as convenient for mom or comfortable for Shaydon, especially when he falls asleep, he has always been a good car sleeper though.

Shaydon is now 1 year and Landon is 6 months, but it seems like they are the same size?

We bought these pj's in Europe. I just loved them and had to have them. Even after I looked at the price tag. Good thing Scott wasn't there or there is no way I would of gotten out of the store with them. Landon's is a one piece and Shaydon's is a two piece.

They are sooo cute together!!!

Cucumber

We stayed at the Gerratt's this trip to Burley and had lot of fun with all the cousins. This is a video I took of Scott giving Shaydon a cucumber!! It was so funny!!! Shaydon puts anything into his mouth. This was no exception.

Happy Birthday to Me!!


Scott surprised me with dinner and a movie for my Birthday. He even set up baby sitting. It was a much needed night. It was hard to decide on a movie because there were none we REALLY wanted to see, but we just had to go because we haven't been for so long we decide on

It was just okay I am not really into musicales. Dinner was at the:

Thanks for a wonderful much needed night on the town next time we won't wait so long. I think you forget how important your time together is. I love my new running shoes and ipod Shadyon!! (they go with my new stroller) Just need to learn how to use it now. I am a little behind in the technology world. Shaydon will probable know how to use one by the age of 8.

Did you know that our family BIRTHDAY'S are all 4 day's apart. So it's stared off with me and Shaydon in the middle and Scott bringing us the rear. It's going to be party central around here the next 2 weeks.

Wiggle Cars

The Western Idaho Fair was pretty good this year. We had just got back for the Cassia County Fair, but we didn't take Shaydon around to see the sites/animals. We were working most of the time. So it was nice to just walk around and see Shaydon looking at everyone and wondering where the heck he is. We ate first. Corn dog, chicken and rice bowl, corn on the cob, gyro, fresh lemonade. Then we saw the animals. Shaydon was pretty shy, but we got him to touch the Texas Longhorn. We walked through he commercial building and then through the booths outside. (We like to people watch, Who doesn't?) We stayed till 9:30 or so and could tell our time was short, it was past his bed time.

Real quick though I saw these wiggle cars/plasma cars about a year ago and Brooke's sister-in- laws house and loved them. Thought to myself when Shaydon turns 2 this is what I am going to get him for his birthday. He wasent' even born at the time. The are pretty expensive with shipping about $100.00, but they sure were fun wiggle around on. They had them at the fair for like $50.00 or so? We just don't have room to store it for another year before he could actually use it.

We wanted to make one last trip to Roaring Springs (RS) before they closed for the summer. We had such a good time. I didn't realize until we got there that Shaydon has started to crawl since we were last here. He was very Mobile!! We did it all: yellow slide, green slide, the Teodor-toter, the lazy river, played in the shallow end. What could be better than playing in the sun with my son. We have loved our RS pass and look forward to next years FUN!!!

Cassia County Fair

What a weekend!!

It started out on Thursday afternoon as Shaydon and I caught a ride to Burley with Yvonne and the kids. We left the men to come after work on Friday together. The whole Gerratt family minus Brandon and all the dogs minus Jack were there, it was a packed house. Alisa & Ben even stayed at Todd and Brenda's and Dave & Wendy brought up there camp trailer because the family is getting bigger. Scott and I stayed in Scott's old room we haven't stayed there for a really long time. We love it!!! We love to get together with everyone to visit/talk until weee hours in the morning, eat food, sleep, read magazines, go the the fair, eat fair food and repeat! If we want to see my family we have to go to the fair. I worked lunch at the fair on Friday and Saturday. I love the maple bars, corn on the cob and the funnel cakes. Also, my mom's sister Connie and her husband Michael came down from LA to help work the Al's booth. They will need a vacation from there vacation to recover from a week of HARD work. Thanks to everyone for taking time to come to Burley for the fair it's become an yearly event that we look forward to. Thanks for all the help with Shaydon too. I just remember last year all to well being pregnant and all. It was nice to enjoy the weather instead of being so HOT!

Gerratt Hotel

The Boise Hotel was up and running this weekend! Not only did we have Aunt Connie here, but two of here brother's Jeff and Steve came through on there way back from WY. So we had a house full. We love it when family comes to visit. You are welcome anytime!!!
