Nice People

Our weekend started off GREAT!!

We went to Burger King with my sister-in-law and her friend TJ & all of our kids. It was a lot of fun to visit & let the kids play. Yvonne has 3 kids, TJ 4 kids (Charli is just a few weeks old, so cute!) & 1 for me.

My parents hosted an exchange student 9 years ago and we still keep in touch. So Franck got into town on Friday night and we went to dinner at On the Border. I got there early to put our name in and Scott drove around with Shaydon until he fell asleep. Everyone got there we ate dinner and then it came time to pay the bill. As I looked at the bill someone had paid $100.00 dollars of our bill!!! I thought for sure it was Franck, but it wasn't. After asking everyone and the waitress she said she could not divulge who paid the $100.00 and they wanted to be anonymous. So to this day we don't know who did it, but there are still nice people out there. How special are we?!!!

P.S. The only thing I could think of was when I was waiting outside for our table and no one else was there a gentlemen early 40's walked past and he was wearing a new pair of jeans and had left the tags on them. I politely stopped him and told him and he was very embarrassed, but said Thanks!!

Saturday was the Race for the Cure!
Last minute I got Scott to come with me and we met my brother Brook & Landon down there & walked a 5K. I knew lots of people who were going and ended on finding them all in the 14,000 people that were there. What a GREAT event. It's just keeps getting bigger & bigger each year.

Sunday was Mother's Day!!
Scott tried very hard to make this a very special day for me since it was my 1st!! Starting off by waking me up with a "Happy Mother's Day, I love you." Later, I walked into the kitchen to find a vase full of flowers with a card and a gift. I love day's when I get to choose what I want when I want. Topped off you an excellent dinner my favorite Thai Food. Thank you Honey, I really appreciate all your efforts. I really love going to church and hearing all the talks on Mothers. It really makes you appreciate all that your mother had done for you. I don't think life would be the same with out them in our life. Thanks to my mom and mother-in-law & all the mothers that I know. You are such a GREAT example to me and make me want to be better MOM. I love you!!!

My dad and Franck went to the Utah Jazz and LA Laker's play off game in Utah. On their way home I had them stop and get me this:

I have been wanting one since I first saw it. My sister-in-law is going to make Shaydon's 1st birthday cake. Thanks Yvonne. (Crazy huh! All ready planning his Birthday party)

One of the girls in my massage office, her family runs these hot springs near Sweet, Idaho. The hot spring has been made into a pool and hot tub and it can be reserved for $1.75 per person for 2 hours. Such a fun place with changing rooms & bathrooms. It was a fun afternoon with the Bledsoes & Blads. After we went to Merritt's who are famous for the scones (greasy) which were GREAT, but not the cleanliest place we've ever been. Thanks for making our Saturday sooooo FUN!!

Returning Home

Once I got home I found that Scott had a very busy weekend!!!

  • He had done all the yard work (mowed ,trimmed and pulled weeds)
  • Shampooed the carpets in the whole house which desperately needed it
  • The house was straightened
  • Bathed Roxy & washed her bed
What a GREAT husband thanks for your time & hard work we really appreciate it.

Oh, I almost forgot two highlights of our trip:
  • Friday night we went to dinner with a friend from HS, Marie Michaelson and her family who has a son that is only 1 week older than Shaydon. Griffen weighs 23 lbs and is in the 98 percent for both height and weight. He also has 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom. He defiantly has the Michaelson gene, all though Matt was the 3rd largest baby born in TX. We ate at Bajo' Grill in IF.
  • Baby Boutique, Stardust!!! It was one on the cutest baby stores I've ever been in & it was reasonably priced. They had all the designer brand along with local designers and consignors. They sold the Phil and Teds sport buggy that I just love !!! So I got to see it in person, If I knew I could of fit it in the car I would of bought it. But I did buy the new gum drop pacifier in blue, a "tag" quit blanket, and a pair of baby legs. I would be broke if I lived there.

Happy

Cinco De Mayo
Have a GREAT Day!!!

Weekend in Review

This was a very busy weekend for me. We left on Thursday night for Burley and then on to Idaho Falls on Friday. I went to IF to attend the Idaho Chapter of American Massage Therapy Association Conference (AMTA). I am taking a class on People living with Cancer. It was awesome!!! I wish I would of known some of these things when my mom was in the thick of things. Hopefully I will be able to share the techniques I learned with others.

My mother-in-law came with me to the conference to watch Shaydon. She just brought him to me when he got hungry. The had a BLAST together.
Between sleeping in, shopping, napping together, taking their daily walk in the park, driving around & just lounging around in the room.
We stayed at the Red Lion across from the IF Temple.

This is a round about off of Utah street. Isn't it beautiful?!! It's HUGE!!! Can you see the mountain lion?

You are growing right before our eyes and we are enjoying every stage you go through.

Things you do right now:

  • Playing with your feet/sucking on your toes/socks/shoes

  • Rolling from your tummy to your back
  • Smiling at everyone you meet
  • Talking shorter naps
  • Still sleeping through the night
  • Playing with Andi & Landon
  • Loves Jessica's on Tuesdays
  • Rides in the front of the shopping cart
  • Holds a bottle & feeds himself
  • Going for walks in the stroller even fell asleep for the 1st time today
  • Scott says your hair on top is too long for a Mohawk, Oh well
  • Thinks his pacifier is a toy

World Record

JENGA was our game of choice on Sunday night. We made it 37 levels high it was so intense that after it fell they went straight to the Internet to see what the world record was and we couldn't find a valid answer, but the highest one we found was 35 levels....
We are the World Record holders in our house anyway.

Kemper Hessing

Since his parents are on vacation in Hawaii (jealous) we got to help watch him! We ate dinner with him and the Curtis's at Flat Bread Community Oven on Thursday night. This restaurant is in Bown Crossing in Boise and there is an amazing candy store there, Powell's which we did for dessert.

Shaydon and I also got to watch him on Friday afternoon. It was a fun filled 2.5 hours.

~Playing with Shaydon's toys
~Playing fetch with Roxy outside
~Eating a peanut butter and honey "Ghost" sandwich with Cheetos & Lemonade in a spider man cup
~Having a shaving cream art contest with Shaydon
~Went on a walk back to his house while eating skittles

Aren't they cheesy?!!

We enjoyed having him over to our house & hope he can come again!!

Craving.....

The BOB

Phil & Teds Sport Buggy

I want a jogging stroller, but can't decide on which one.... Which is your favorite? A different one?
I was going to get a gym membership, but I think I will get better use out of a jogger!
It's going to be summer soon (it's still so cold)!!!

Projects

I have been trying to finish some projects that are all half done!!! Here are two of my now COMPLETED projects!!! I really don't like to sew, but it's a little contagious... I am getting better and better. My mom suggest a class? Why? It's easier to just learn by trial and error and that takes less time.... CRAZY. A class...But a big THANKS to a friend in the ward who helped me read the patterns!!!!

These are for Father's day matching Father & Son. Scott had two material's to pick from and he choose this one. I am sure if he went to the fabric store with me he would of choose something completely different...

I am sure for those of you who blog lots have seen some of the sites with these cute baby & toddler tutus. I thought I could make one for half the price. These two are for a friend who had twins. Lily yours is coming and the more I make the better I get & they look. I can't wait for you to wear it to ballet.
