4 years ago I gave a baby shower for my best friend Rebecca Bledsoe. At her shower one of her friends made her these home made burp rags. I LOVED them. I asked Rebecca to make me some when I have a baby someday. We never talked about it again. When I had Shaydon she brought us over dinner and the FAMOUS burp rags. I couldn't believe she remembered. That is a best friend!! I wanted to learn how to make them so we made a girls day of it. I went over a couple of weeks ago and she showed me how. I just finished them today. They look so GREAT! Thank you REBECCA what a great baby gift.......

5. Tag five people.
La Leche League International, Whole foods for Babies & Toddlers.
By Margaret Kenda author of the natural baby food cookbook
Make a good dairy product better:
* To dress up cottage cheese, add applesauce or pieces of fruit, such as apple, banana, pineapple, pear, or peach. Or try cut-up vegetables such as green pepper, celery, carrot tomato, or cucumber.
*To dress up plain yogurt, add applesauce, fruit puree, or cut up pieces of fruit, such as banana, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, or apple. Or, for older children try adding ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract and ¼ teaspoon cinnamon to a cup of yogurt. Or add a teaspoon of lemon or line juice.
* To make a pleasantly firm yogurt, mix 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin with 3 tablespoons boiling water.
I want to hear from:
Rebecca Bledsoe
Melissa Downs
Scott Rojo

1st Play Group
Andie & Shaydon
Today was Shaydon's 1st play group. We are starting by watching eachothers kids for 2 hours and hopefully when they get older we can go longer. Okay it's really for us mom's, but it was still fun. I am looking forward to getting to know Andie better. Andie and Shaydon are only 3 weeks apart. Kelli Hessing and I did water aerobics while we were both pregnant. It was pretty funny Shaydon was napping when Andie arrived & when Shaydon woke up Andie just went down for a Nap. So they actually were only awake together for like 15 minutes before Kelli got ther to pick her up, kids.....
Shaydon is so excited to have someone to play with.

Best Friends
Roxy had a lot of fun with Jack this weekend. They wore each other out!!! Roxy was so good to play gentle & she let Jack have whatever she wanted even her toys & bed! Roxy is a softy. I bet they both sleep EXTRA good Sunday night. It has been raining & our snow is melting so our backyard is a mud pit, but they had fun even in the bath. They played their little hearts out. Outside, inside, tug-of-war, wrestled, copy cat, tag, your dog food is better than mine, you name it they did it.
Thanks to the Curtis's for letting us watch Jack, We hope you had fun in McCall with Chad & Kelli.

10 Romantic New Year's Resolutions to Improve your Relationship
2. Say "I Love You" every single day. These three small words carry so much meaning, yet they're never said often enough. Make sure that your partner knows you love and appreciate them every single day.
3. Put your love in writing. Nothing gives you warm fuzzies of love like receiving a simple love note or a passionate love letter. Vow this year to put pen to paper and write your sweetie love notes, love poems, and love letters.
4. Bring back the spontaneity in your relationship! Try sending her flowers "just because". Buy him 2 tickets to a game of his favorite sport -- and go with him! Vow to surprise your partner at least once a month.
5. Get away from it all with a weekend get-away. Take a romantic weekend away for no reason (i.e. no anniversary, holiday, etc) except to be together. Head to a cabin in the mountains, a local bed and breakfast, or a relaxing spa. It doesn't really matter where you go, as long as you go together and leave the interruptions behind.
6. Show your love each and every day. Give your partner compliments, hold hands, open doors, and engage in public displays of affection. It's the little things you do to show your love that always mean the most.
7. Shake up your romantic life with a little creativity. Create your own love coupon book with one coupon for your partner to redeem each week of the year. Easy to create, these little coupons can be as romantic, sexy, or practical as you want. Hint: a mix of all three works best.
8. Have fun together! Take up a new hobby together this year. Join a softball team together, take cooking lessons, golf lessons, or dancing lessons. You'll not only learn something new, but you'll have fun with your partner at the same time!
9. Don't forget the little things. Make him lunch. Paint her toenails. Wash and wax his car. Do her weekly chores. You've heard the phrase that it's the little things that really matter when it comes to showing how much you care. So vow to show how much you care by doing something nice for your partner frequently. It's the practical (and much appreciated) way to show your love!
10. Get to know your partner better. Whether you're dating, just married, or celebrating your 25th anniversary, there is always more to learn about your partner -- and you can have fun doing it! Pick up a copy of the book 'All About Us' and spend some time each week documenting your own love story. Or check out the many other books and resources which feature 'Questions for Couples' -- questions designed to spark discussions and really help you learn more about one another.
